Hulas Farm grows Cian Red dragon fruit on trellised poles, with Red Lady papaya between the rows — and paddy, wheat, maize and sugarcane on the surrounding land. Fruit, planting cuttings and vermicompost, direct from the farm.
What we grow
Dragon fruit is the flagship crop and papaya rides between the rows. Around it sits an orchard of 140 mango and 85 litchi trees, and a full Terai rotation of paddy, wheat, maize and sugarcane — with the grain going on to our own mills.

Red Lady, planted two-dragon-one-papaya down every row. It uses light the young poles don't and pays the farm while the dragon fruit builds its frame.
Transplanted by hand across the monsoon block. Most of the crop moves straight to our own rice mills for milling and packing under Hulas Food.
The winter crop after paddy. Grain goes to the flour mill, and the straw comes back to the farm as mulch and as feedstock for the vermicompost pits.
Grown on the lighter blocks in rotation. Sold as grain, with stover chopped back into the compost cycle rather than burned.
An established orchard of 140 trees on the farm. Fruit is sold fresh in the Jestha–Ashadh window, and the canopy gives the block permanent shade and leaf litter.
85 trees, cropping in the short Jestha season. Picked and moved the same day — litchi does not wait, so it goes out to trade on order.
A long-duration crop that holds the heavier soils and spreads the farm's cash flow across the year. Supplied to mill on contract.

What we sell
Prices move with the season and the grade. Send your quantity and delivery point and we'll quote for that week.
Crate-packed, picked the same morning. Sold to fruit traders, hotels and juice units across the eastern Terai.
Taken from our own mature, disease-scouted plants — not imported stock of unknown parentage. Rooted poly-bag saplings on order.
Red Lady papaya in bulk crates, seasonal mango and litchi from the orchard, and paddy, wheat and maize sold as grain or milled through our own mills.
Ninety pits running on farm residue and cattle dung. Most goes back under our own poles; the surplus is bagged for nurseries and neighbouring growers.
The year on the farm

How we farm
Every pole sits on a scheduled water and feed line, every zone is on camera, and soil temperature, moisture and EC are read continuously — not guessed at.
Borewell to buffer tank to day tanks, then out through six solenoid-controlled zones with a venturi injector on the line. Nutrition reaches the root, on schedule, in the dose the crop stage needs.
A Thoplo Machine PLC panel runs irrigation from the farm control room. Soil temperature, moisture and EC stream to a dashboard with upper and lower limits set per zone, so the valve opens on data rather than habit.
Farm residue, paddy and wheat straw and cattle dung go into ninety vermicompost pits and come back out under the poles. Chemical inputs are a correction, not the base plan.
Labour norms, material use and machine hours are set out in a farm standards register. Field teams carry a printed pest and disease guide and file daily reports on every block.
Buy from the farm
We've already made the expensive mistakes — pole spacing, trellis type, water design, intercrop choice. Growers who buy planting material from us can walk the farm and take the layout with them.
Farm walks are by appointment, so someone is free to actually show you the blocks.
